A gift! Blessed and highly favored luxury at Mor Furniture…

One of our favorite parts of the job is collaborating with brands that offer a wide variety of styles. Over the summer we teamed up with Mor Furniture to create a living room and a dining room with different design techniques. This collaboration is an excellent example of how you can create completely different moods based on color, textures, and angles. It also shows versatility in the pieces from Mor Furniture, which is a handy resource for any design style. The brand is great for traditional, modern, relaxed or formal styles. It’s very flexible as per your style!

Room 1

The first space we styled was a dining room and we had some country music playing on repeat when we were approaching the concept for this room! Something to keep in mind when selecting furniture is not everything has to match or be a complete set. We paired the Meadow Extended Dining Table and matching dining benches in brown with the Salida Side Chairs in brown to make the space feel more casual. The Kailman Bar Cart in gold added a great touch and played well off the Nastalya Pendant Lamp as well as the Posy Tray in gold for a pop of gilded contrast against the wood textures. The Pancho Bull Wall Art along with the Granada Rug in dodge blue accented the room perfectly by adding muted and neutral hues. Overall we would describe this space as “Modern Homestead” and imagine many family dinners in a space that felt comfortable and relaxing.

Room 2

The second space we styled was a living room and the goal for this space was to inject some color and fun! We centered the design around the Beta Sofa in Hubbard Midnight as the main piece and flanked with the Adelaide Accent Chairs in Boucle White. To add function to the space we selected the Circularity Coffee Table in Dark Gray/White and paired the chairs with the Hogan Accent Ottoman in Sienna Leather. We selected the Capiz Drum Accent Table in Black and Colldale Arc Floor Lamp to accessorize the design and tied it all together with the Comfort Shag Rug in White 8×10. The last step was to add some one-of-kind accessories such as artwork, pillows and wall decor from Ramble & Rue and the disco Drice Sculpture for some unexpected whimsy. The pops of color and contrasting textures gave this room a modern eclectic flare that we love. If this room was a cocktail we’d name it “Tequila Sunrise”.

When looking to style rooms in your own house, avoid getting bogged down by standard “rules” as these are meant to be broken in design. It’s when we push the envelope and mix metals, textures, patterns and styles that true magic happens and the space will feel unique to you!
